Oregon Chocolate Festival brings hundreds to the Rogue Valley

Ashland, Ore. — It’s time for one of the tastiest festivals of the year.

The Oregon Chocolate Festival is celebrating its 13th year.

Karolina Lavagnino says the festival has grown throughout the years from 14 vendors to more than 40 coming from all over Oregon, California, Washington and Utah.

Lavagnino says the event was first created to bring more people to the Rogue Valley.

“People like chocolate. Whether you’re a kid or you’re 80, you most likely enjoy chocolate, so let’s create an event that will attract many people and this turned into a huge success over the years,” Lavagnino said.

Workshops on beer, wine and chocolate pairings will take place throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.
