Paving scams in the Rogue Valley

0525 Paving ScamJackson County, Ore. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public about a scam that’s going around the valley.

Deputies say the scam involves traveling contractors who go door-to-door, offering to pave driveways and do other asphalt work.

The JSCO reports the contractors are known to do low quality work, and charge customers too much.

If you believe you have been a victim, or have seen these people, you are asked to call police. You can also file a complaint with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board.
