Pedestrian killed in I-5 crash identified

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – Police have identified the pedestrian who was killed in a crash on Interstate 5.

Oregon State Police said at about 12:21 a.m. on May 4, a car was traveling southbound on I-5 when it struck a pedestrian who was in the travel lanes. A second vehicle, a Ford pickup truck, also hit the pedestrian.

According to OSP, the pedestrian, later identified as 49-year-old Central Point resident Renea Beaupre, died from her injuries.

Nobody else was hurt in the crash.
