UPDATE: (08/04 5:00 PM) Phoenix, Ore. — Police say the death of a 2-year-old boy in Phoenix does not appear to be suspicious at this point, but they are still awaiting the medical examiner’s report to better understand what happened.
It could take a few more days for the autopsy results.
Oregon State Police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old in Phoenix.
Local police responded to a home on Church Street Wednesday morning, along with OSP and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office.
According to police, a 2-year-old died sometime overnight. They’re awaiting autopsy results from the medical examiner’s office before releasing any further information.
It is standard procedure for police to investigate the deaths of children.
