Police investigating Union Creek sexual assault

0608 Natural BridgeUnion Creek, Ore. – Police are working to identify a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman while she was hiking on the Natural Bridge Trail near Union Creek.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the victim told deputies she was walking alone on a trail on Saturday June 4th at around 6:20 in the evening when the man attacked her.

The victim told police after the assault, she ran to her vehicle and drove to an area with cell phone service where she was able to report the attack to police.

The JSCO described the suspect at a while man in his 40’s, about 6’ tall with a thin build. He has brown hair, a beard, and tattoos covering his left arm. Deputies said he was wearing blue jeans, no shirt, and no shoes.
