Police search for missing Rogue River swimmer

0322 Police investigationJosephine County, Ore. – Search and rescue crews are searching for an 18-year-old who reportedly went missing while he was swimming in the Rogue River.

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office says that Grants Pass resident Michael Kirman was reported missing from the area of ZigZag Creek on the Rogue River at around 3:40 Sunday afternoon.

Police say that the area was searched with ground and boat crews until 7:15 that evening, but Kirman was not located. The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office will continue the search.

According to deputies, Kirman is described at 5’8” tall, with a slim build and brown hair. He was last seen wearing black and blue swimming trunks.
