Police searching for hit and run suspect

0523 hit and runMedford, Ore. — Medford Police are searching for a driver who they say hit a pedestrian early Saturday morning.

The Medford Police Department said just after 1:00 a.m., they responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on Crater Lake Highway and Cardinal Avenue.

Police said the suspect’s vehicle was driving fast, and hit a pickup truck before going onto the sidewalk and striking a pedestrian.

That pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the people in the truck are reportedly ok.

As of Monday morning, police were still searching for the suspect.

The car is described as a white older model sedan with tinted windows, similar to a BMW.

Police said the car should have heavy damage to the front of the vehicle. You are asked to call police if you have any information in this case.
