Police seeking Ashland night club assault suspect

Ashland, Ore. – Ashland police are searching for a suspect who allegedly punched a woman in the face after learning she was of Native American ancestry.

According to the Ashland Police Department, an unknown man began arguing with victim inside the Vinyl Club around 12:45 a.m. The man reportedly became upset with the victim when he found out she was of Native American descent. He then punched her in the face.

Police said a bouncer was made aware of the incident and took the man outside. The suspect then fought with the bouncer before he fled the scene.

APD said the suspect is describes as a white man with long dread locks, a green sweater and tan pants. He may have injuries on his face because of the fight with the bouncer.
