Cave Junction, Ore. — Oregon State Police are investigating a reported assault and possible shooting in Cave Junction.
Police say multiple calls came in just before 6:40 Sunday night of an assault and possible shooting near Forks State Park.
When authorities arrived, they say a victim had been possibly shot in the hand with a flare gun. Police say only two people were involved in the incident, and they were both taken into custody. Their names are not being released at this time.
One suspect is facing a charge of trespass, and the other is being charged with assault and possession of a controlled substance.
