(NBC News) — Debbie Wasserman Shultz, Marco Rubio and John McCain are all fighting for re-election today.
All are being affected by the fallout from the presidential race.
Their primary challenges come one day before Donald Trump is scheduled to lay out specifics in a major speech on immigration policy. Aides say he’ll call Hillary Clinton’s plan “guaranteed amnesty.”
