Albany man arrested on murder charges

StepinaAlbany, Ore. — An Albany man is in jail for the alleged murder of a man at an I-5 rest area.

Oregon State Police says troopers responded Monday night to the French Prairie Rest Area just south of Wilsonville after reports of an injured man.

The victim, identified as 55-year-old Timothy Way of Beavercreek, was declared dead on scene.

OSP says the death is classified as a homicide and officials arrested 37-year-old Michael-Daniel Stepina on murder charges. He’s being held in the Clackamas County Jail.
