Lines for Life encourages teens to text if they need help

Lines for LifeLines for Life is looking to help teens who are contemplating suicide with texting.

KGW reports the Outreach Director for the organization, Melissa Trombetta, says text is more anonymous, and no one can hear you texting.

Lines for Life started taking texts for help four years ago and last year received more texts than phone calls on their youth line. Counselors are available from 4 to 10 p-m.

You can text the phrase teen-2-teen to the number 839-863 for help.
