Garbage Boy’s Wish Comes True

NC_garbageboy0727_700x394Calif. — (KCRA) 6-year-old Ethan Dean, a little boy with cystic fibrosis, had his wish of becoming a trash collector granted Tuesday in California thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Dozens of people cheered and lined the parking lot of Sunrise Elementary School as Ethan embarked on the surprise journey.

His smile said it all as he was driven off in a giant green garbage truck with his name plastered to the side.

Ethan made stops throughout the day at several locations in Sacramento, including the Fire Department and the State Capitol.

There was a special “news conference” for Ethan at the State Capitol that included city leaders like the Mayor-Elect and the Sacramento Police Chief.

“I want to be a garbage man when I grow up,” Ethan said. “It’s awesome!”
