Klamath Falls teen pleads ‘not guilty’ to murdering grandmother

Klamath Falls, Ore. – A Klamath Falls teen appeared in court Tuesday on charges of murdering his grandmother.

17-year-old Alek Nicholas Wright was indicted by a grand jury Monday on charges of murder and manslaughter.

Police say Alek Wright killed 74-year-old Judith Anne Rose with a knife at her Keno home on New Year’s Eve.

‘Not guilty’ pleas were entered at an arraignment hearing Tuesday afternoon.

The judge ordered Wright held without bail, his next court appearance is scheduled for next week.
