Major flooding causes problems in Northern Oregon

640x360_51006C00-NXPRWMassive flooding in Northern Oregon is wreaking havoc for thousands.

Towns and highways along the Oregon Coast are under water as heavy rain led to high water and flooding.

Officials are reminding motorists to avoid certain roadways due to the chance of landslides and there has been at least one which happened Tuesday night.

Crews were removing debris from Highway 30 Wednesday.

In the meantime, north of Portland in Kalama, Washington- more than a foot of water covered parts of downtown. Rescue efforts took place early Wednesday as residents dealt with extensive damage from flooding and landslides.

At least one person was trapped in their home when a landslide hit the structure.
