Robotics team gears up for world championship

Medford, Ore.– The robotics team at St. Mary’s are gearing up to compete in the Robotics World Championship for the first time.

The two robotics teams at the school, TNT and C4, both qualified at a regional tournament in Oakland two weeks ago.

The high school students learn engineering, teamwork and technology skills–but mostly everyone has fun together doing it.

“It’s incredibly fun,” said Kent Dauterman, coach of TNT. “They get a new challenge every September, they work as a team to solve a problem and then they get to go match play with teams all over the state.”

The Robotics World Championship will be in St. Louis, Mo. and take place on April 27.
