Rogue Valley Timbers boys’ team head to regional championships

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Rogue Valley Timbers U14 boys’ team are the champions of the Oregon Youth Soccer Association’s President’s Cup tournament.

The team won three to one over a premier football club that only lost one game in the season.

The Timbers now move on to the regional championships in Salt Lake City in mid-June.

“We can’t wait to represent Oregon against teams from other states,” said mid-fielder Wyatt Catz. “It is a chance to prove ourselves on a new stage.”

The last time the team won the championship was more than a decade ago.

Supporters of the team have set up a GoFundMe page to assist with funding.
