Ashland, Ore. — A violent rollover on I-5 south of Ashland closed both lanes of traffic around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon near milepost 12.
The driver of a semi-truck said another driver in a Jeep Grand Cherokee hit him as they were driving southbound.
Another witness said the SUV rolled three times. The driver was able to climb out through his sunroof. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Witnesses say the driver told police he was talking on his cell phone when the accident occurred.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
