Medford, Ore.– A Central Point man accused of shoplifting, injuring a Walmart employee who tried to stop him and causing an hour long stand-off with police appears in court.
25-year-old Allen Shane Ledbetter stood before the court Wednesday to hear a plea deal offer from the state. If Ledbetter pleads guilty he would serve 37 months in prison, a generous offer according to the court.
Police say Ledbetter and an accomplice stole $39 worth of bras and paint from the north Medford Walmart in August 2015.
Ledbetter will have a week to decide if he wants to accept the deal or go to trial.
