Three people wounded in French school shooting

Grasse, France – Three people were shot when a 17-year-old student allegedly opened fire at a school in southern France.

NBC Bay Area reports the shooting took place at the Alexis de Tocqueville in the town of Grasse.

The school’s principal and two other were hit by bullets and five others were treated for shock. None of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

Officials said the suspect was arrested in a police raid.

Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet said all the other students at the school are safe. He added it’s too early to know the motives for the attack.
