TSA hiring for Crater Lake Klamath Regional Airport

tsaKlamath Falls, Ore. — Passenger air service is returning to Crater Lake Klamath Regional Airport and TSA officers are needed. The Transportation Safety Administration is looking to hire 6 to 8 part time workers to assist in screening for PenAir’s two daily flights to Portland.

TSA officials say it’s a great opportunity for someone interested in working for the federal government.

“They are uniformed, federal officers,” Tina Burke, Assistant Federal Security Director says, “so they are representing the federal government so we want people who work with integrity and have a commitment to our operation and our mission.”

They hope to have passenger service back up and running by October. Hired TSA agents will be trained for 2 weeks in Georgia, followed by some additional training in Medford.

If you’re interested in learning more about the job, the hiring process and the benefits, there’s an informational session in Klamath Falls Thursday night. It’s being held in the Mount Mazama room of Oregon Tech at 6 pm.
