Two people caught after they eluded officers during traffic stop

0325 sheriff pursuitJackson County, Ore. — Two people were caught by deputies after the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says they led police on a chase, both in a car and on foot.

Just before 4:00 Sunday afternoon, deputies say they attempted a traffic stop on a silver Mercedes in Gold Hill. They were led on a chase down North River Road, with the car finally stopping just outside of Rogue River, where deputies say the suspects got out and ran.

A K9 unit was brought out, and after two hours of searching, deputies caught Caleb Bradley and Taylor Petersen.

Bradley is facing numerous charges, including attempt to elude, and felon in possession of a firearm. Police say four guns were found near the car. Deputies also say he also had a felony warrant.

According to police, Petersen was cited and released for trespass. The investigation is ongoing.
