Medford, Ore. – A Phoenix-Talent School District bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck on Wednesday morning while traveling eastbound on Barnett Road, near the intersection of Edgemont Street. The accident closed off one lane of eastbound traffic, causing congestion past Highland Drive.
Medford Police say a 23-year-old man was driving a pickup truck when his vehicle struck the rear of the bus. Officers say he was going too fast and not paying attention. The pickup truck driver was cited for careless driving.
According to officers, none of the 39 kids on board the bus were believed to be injured.
