Woman found missing from her home

03.gifWOMAN MISSINGGrants Pass, Ore., — Search and rescue crews in Josephine County find a 70-year-old woman missing from her home.
Police say Laurene Page left her home in Wilderville on Wednesday afternoon between noon and two. That’s when her husband, Jimmy came home and couldn’t find her.

Page searched for his wife for hours before calling police. Search and rescuers eventually found her a little before 3 am in a culvert underneath Highway 199, just one tenth of a mile from her house.

Deputy Cory Krauss says, “she was underground, she was in a culvert….it took roughly an hour, hour and half for the k-9s to zero in on that location and alert.”

Police say she has no history of dementia but is unsure how or why she ended up in the culvert.

Luckily despite some minor cuts and bruises and mild hypothermia, she wasn’t severely hurt. She is recovering tonight at Three Rivers Hospital.
