Workers needed for asbestos clean-up project

Klamath Falls, Ore. — Workers will soon be needed for a $30 million clean-up project in Klamath Falls.

A 3-year project to remove asbestos from Northridge Estates is scheduled to get underway this summer.

The EPA is now hosting informational sessions in Klamath Falls on free training that will be offered for some of the jobs related to the cleanup.

Project Liaison Chrystal Vaughan said, “The orientation will let them know what type of jobs they are. There will be construction related jobs – what kind of trainings and certification that they may be able to qualify for.”

The orientation sessions will be held at Klamath Community College on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
