SANTA ANA, Calif. (NBC News) – Five people were killed Sunday when a small plane crashed in the parking lot of a Southern California shopping center.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane took off from Northern California and crashed about two hours after take-off.
Authorities say all five of the fatalities were adults.
The cause of the crash is not yet known, but the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
