A lot of marijuana in Josephine County isn’t going to patients, study says

MARIJUANA POTGrants Pass, Ore. — A Portland-based company says very little medical marijuana grown in Josephine County is actually going to patients. The study conducted by ECONorthwest suggests that as much as 70% of the marijuana grown in that county is not going to medical marijuana card holders.

The company looked at the number of plants allowed, and the number of patients and found large discrepancies.

Josephine County Commissioners say the company reached out to them for input, and the info is just a draft. They say it’s too soon to tell what impact the findings will have on current policies.
