Arrests made in connection with K.F. drive-by shooting

Update (02/19 10:30am) — The Klamath Falls Police Department says they officially arrested Antonio Miguel Pena on Thursday evening. He has been lodged at the Klamath County Jail on charges of attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, unlawful use of a weapon, criminal mischief in the first degree, and reckless endangering.

Police say the investigation shows that Pena and Taylor drove together to a residence on Angle and Soquel Streets, where Pena fired several rounds into a home. Officers say the home belonged to a local law enforcement community member. Investigators say that Pena targeted the wrong residence, and he intended to shoot at a different person.

Klamath Falls, Ore. — Klamath Falls Police say they have a pair of suspects in custody, days after someone fired shots at a law officer’s home.

Two vehicles and a home in the neighborhood of Angle and Soquel Street were hit by 7 to 9 shots around 10:30 Saturday night. The homeowner told NBC5 News that one bullet missed him by just 18 inches. Luckily, no one was injured in the shooting.

Late Thursday afternoon, Klamath Falls police told NBC5 News that the man they believe is the shooter, 25-year-old Antonio Miguel Pena, is in police custody. He has not yet been charged.

Police say they’ve recovered a semi-automatic handgun from Pena that they believe was the weapon used over the weekend.

A second suspect, 27-year-old Clinton Richard Taylor, is charged with criminal conspiracy to commit assault in the 1st degree.
