0219 Minimum Wage InfographicSalem, Ore. — The Oregon State House voted on Thursday to increase the minimum wage.

The bill creates a “tiered” system to raise the minimum wage over six years in three different categories; Portland, rural counties, and everywhere else.

Wages would be incrementally increased until 2022, where the baseline would hit $13.50 an hour. The rural wage would be $12.50, and the Portland wage $14.75.

The Oregon Senate voted the bill through last week. It will now head to Governor Kate Brown’s desk for her signature.
