Big Al’s Tennis Tournament

07.15 TENNISAshland, Ore., — The 41st annual “Big Al’s Tennis Tournament” kicked off today in Ashland.

The weekend long tennis tournament is having one of its biggest years yet, drawing in about 160 people, and 250 entrants.

Players from all over the West Coast come out to try their hand.

“The best part of the event is really bringing the tennis community together from all over the West Coast, and just getting people from all over to compete, people who love tennis and getting to watch people play from the ages of 70 all the way to 16 or 17.” said the tournament director, Eric Danson.

The tournament finals are on Sunday at 8 am at Hunter Park in Ashland and the winners will receive pottery from Big Als.
