Boil water advisory lifted in Gold Hill

Gold Hill, Ore.- The mayor of Gold Hill announced Wednesday residents no longer need to boil their water before using it.

The boil water advisory was put into effect Monday after a water main break created the potential for bacteria in the system. The water main break was fixed that day and test results received Wednesday showed the water was safe to drink.

The boil water advisory lasted about three days and created demand for water at the local supermarket.
