Breast Cancer Awareness Month

10-02-cancerGrants Pass, Ore., — October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Grants Pass fire fighters want to do their part in helping as much as they can.

The Department of Public Safety are swapping out their usual blue and red uniform shirts, for pink ones, the entire month to help raise funds and awareness for the community.

“This helps raise awareness for that, and also shows that we support folks that not just in fires or medical emergencies but also in long term health issues.” said Grants Pass fire fighter, Brandon Rigaud

Anyone can buy a pink shirt from fire fighters at the Parkway Public Safety Center on Park Street.

They are twenty dollars but all proceeds will go directly to the Asante Foundation Connie Fiske Program.
