Portland, Ore. – Portland police nabbed a suspected burglar after they found him sleeping inside a dog kennel
The Portland Police Bureau said on March 14, officers responded to a home on Northeast Multnomah Street after they received a report of a residential burglary.
According to PPD, when officers arrived they checked the surrounding yard but couldn’t find anyone. However, when they checked inside the home they saw someone curled up sleeping inside a wire dog kennel. Officers woke up 43-year-old Bruce Ewing Drumwright and took him into custody.
A second suspect, identified as 58-year-old Gene Edward Maller, was found hiding in the backyard. He was also arrested without incident.
Police said stolen items were found in the front yard, including money taken from a child’s bedroom.
