California wildfires force 80,000 from homes

NC_cafiresam0817_1500x845San Bernardino County, Calif. (KNBC) — What started as a small brush fire Tuesday morning in Southern California has turned into the massive “Blue Cut Fire” by Wednesday morning.

The blaze, burning in San Bernardino County, has consumed more than 18,000 acres and forced some 82,000 people to evacuate their homes.

The fire has created multiple fire tornadoes and is creating its own weather patterns.

At least two firefighters have been injured and the hot conditions are expected to continue.
