(NBC News) Senator Bernie Sanders hit on a favorite theme Thursday at a campaign appearance in Manhattan.
“Billionaires who represent the wealthy and the powerful should not be about buying elections,” Sanders told supporters.
To have a shot at the nomination, Sanders needs a blowout win in Tuesday’s New York primary, but Democrats are still divided.
Sanders staged a huge rally Wednesday night, but suffered a setback supporter Dr. Paul Song, after he slammed Clinton, referred to “corporate Democratic wh**** who are beholden to big pharma”.
Sanders later took to Twitter to call Dr. Song’s comment “inappropriate and offensive”.
