Child killed in Colorado parade

WINDSOR, Colo. (KUSA/NBCNC) – A child hit by a parade float in Colorado has died.

Authorities say the child was participating in the Windsor Harvest Test this morning north of Denver.

The child has not been identified, other than as a young male.

A news release from the city of Windsor says the child and his parents were taken to a hospital and the child died a short time later.

The parade was canceled immediately after the child was hit.
