City of Medford approves 5-year Hazard Mitigation Plan

MEDFORD, Ore. —The city of Medford approved a 5-year Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan last week.

The current plan adopted in 2017, was set to expire this month.

It works to identify hazards, weaknesses, risks facing Medford and prioritizes actions to reduce those.

The recently approved plan includes 49 action items to specifically address hazards for Medford.

Each item identifies potential funding sources, lead departments, community partners, a time frame, and overall cost.
