Klamath Falls, Ore. — Concealed handgun permits are now available again in Klamath County.
There was a line of people outside the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday morning waiting to apply for permits.
The sheriff had to suspend the process in mid-June due to limited staffing.
Klamath County Sheriff Frank Skrah said, “I understand there’s some controversy swirling around out there in social media that Skrah is rescinding handgun permits. That’s the furthest thing from the truth – we were just overwhelmed with the paperwork.”
Sheriff Skrah stressed that politics had nothing to do with his decision.
