Douglas County man arrested for sexually abusing H.S. students

ELKTON, Ore. – A Douglas County man was arrested after reports surfaced alleging he sexually abused two women during their high school years.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said two women told investigators James Bryce Carnes “inappropriately touched” them numerous times back when they were students in high school.

The women said the incidents took place between 2013 and 2016 at Carnes’ residence.

On May 29, 2019 Carnes was arrested on multiple counts of sex abuse and harassment.
