Driver killed in Highway 140 crash

JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. – A driver was killed in a crash on Highway 140 Thursday night.

According to Oregon State Police, a female driver was traveling in a Jeep SUV 30 miles east of White City when she left the roadway, causing her vehicle to collide with a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Winter weather conditions in the area contributed to the collision,” OSP said.

The driver was the only one inside the vehicle.
