Brookings, Ore. – Oregon State Police helped recuse an elk that had fallen into a shallow well near Brookings on Saturday.
According to OSP, troopers responded to the scene along with Brookings Fire/Rescue, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and 10-10 Express Tow Ltd.
Troopers said the cow elk was tranquilized and hoisted out of the well using a tow truck. Once the elk was out of the well, she was given an anti-sedative. She woke up in about ten minutes, then left the area with no apparent injuries.
