Homeless man in Colorado wins $500,000 on lottery ticket

Aspen, Colo. — A homeless man is now half of a million dollars richer thanks to a scratch-off lottery ticket. 60-year-old Michael Engfors says he’s been homeless for more than six years, in and out of alcohol treatment.

The folks at the homeless shelter where he’s been staying say he has always been positive about the future. Well his positive attitude paid off.

Engfors says he plans to find a home, buy a new pair of skis, but most importantly go visit the daughter he last saw more than 20 years ago.
