Generous donation to Habitat for Humanity

Rogue River, Ore — Three acres of vacant property in Rogue River will soon be homes for at least 16 families thanks to a generous gift.

The three acres on Foothill Boulevard in Rogue River were donated to the Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity last year and just last night the Rogue River city council approved a development plan for the lot.

Habitat for Humanity plans to use the land to build homes for 16 low income families.

“It’ll take us a few years, we’re not sure of the need in Rogue River and we’re looking for volunteers who will help with this project, we expect to build 2 to 4 houses a year,” said Denise James, executive director for Rogue Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Applications for the homes can be found through the Habitat for Humanity website. You have until March 18th to apply.
