Gerber recalls specific baby food pouches

0324 GERBER RECALLGlendale, Cal. – Gerber Product Company, a subsidiary of Nestle Group, has issued a voluntary recall for specific baby food pouches due to potential spoilage.

According to a recall announcement, Gerber is working with stores and online retailers to retrieve four affected batches of Gerber brand Organic 2nd Food pouches that failed to meet quality standards. Gerber is offering replacement coupons for customers who have purchased the affected products.

Gerber says customers may notice some pouches are bloated and the product inside may have an off taste or odor. Three consumers have reported temporary gastrointestinal symptoms. Gerber has been unable to verify if the reported symptoms were connected to the product.

Customers who have purchased the affected products are encouraged to call 1-800-706-0556 for a replacement coupon.
