JACKSONVILLE, Ore. — The Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries awarded $61,000 in grants Monday to help cemeteries with preservation, repair work, and visitor education.
The Logtown Cemetary in Jacksonville got a piece of the pie with $3,000 going to dead tree and limb removal.
The historic cemetery dates back to the 1850s during Jacksonville’s early days as a gold-rush town.
