WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC) – House lawmakers block an effort to impeach the president.
Members voted overwhelmingly, 332 to 95, in favor of tabling articles of impeachment offered up by Texas Representative Al Green.
His resolution cites the president’s recent tweets targeting four female representatives of color.
It does not mention the special counsel’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
