Phoenix, Ore. – The Oregon Department of Transportation has announced that beginning Monday, February 29th, I-5 traffic will be detoured at Phoenix Exit 24 from 10pm to 5am. ODOT says the detour is required to accommodate demolition of the old Fern Valley Road overpass.
According to ODOT, only one direction of I-5 will be closed at a time. Northbound traffic will be directed to Exit 24 to either Pear Tree Lane or South Phoenix Road, then to Grove Road, to North Phoenix Road, and on to I-5 northbound. Southbound traffic will be directed to North Phoenix Road, to Luman Road, and on to I-5 southbound.
The 10pm to 5am closures are part of the $72 million Fern Valley Interchange project. For more information, visit http://www.oregon.gov/odot/hwy/region3/pages/fvi_index.aspx
