Jackson County Sheriff to reveal transition plan

Jackson County, Ore.- Outgoing Jackson County Sheriff Corey Falls will reveal his transition plan in a press conference Tuesday afternoon.

Falls is leaving Jackson County for a job as Director of Police Services and 21st Century Policing in Gresham, two years into his four year term. His last day in office will be Dec. 30, 2016.

Jackson County commissioners will appoint the interim sheriff. Six people have applied for the position, including former Sheriff Mike Winters.
