Lake Shasta, CA., — According to published reports, Lake Shasta was trashed over the weekend by a group of college students.
Portland NBC affiliate KGW reported large amounts of trash and personal belongings were left on Slaughterhouse Island, with majority of the items displaying the University of Oregon logo as well the fraternity “Lambda Chi”.
Though authorities are involved, officials cannot say for sure who it was that left the garbage behind.
The University of Oregon has put out a statement saying it is looking into the incident and will take action as it sees fit.
