Airline Passengers Try To Board Packing Heat

The TSA has reported a 30% increase and a steady rise in the number pf passengers who are caught trying to carry loaded firearms through security. Rogue Valley airport officials say while a rare occurrence, it does happen here. There are legal means of traveling with your firearm and it usually takes registering them in a locked cased and stored with the cargo. Airport officials say anyone caught trying to board a flight with a weapon will be prosecuted. Medford Police say the charge begins with unlawful possession of a firearm and can extend further.
